Where I fit in:
I have always been drawn to the therapies especially speech therapy as I feel improving communicative and feeding competencies has direct impacts on an individual's quality and quantity of life.
I am passionate about healthcare and about making healthcare cost effective whilst heightening the quality of service, outcome and experience for the patient and family alike. Having worked in a number of healthcare environments including private, public, first and third world environments I have been lucky enough to have had exposure to innovative service delivery models and practises and have aimed to bring this back to my current working environment so that I can build a healthcare and therapy services company which is a leader within this space.
I believe healthcare is not just about quantity of life or about a broken foot, ear or arm as advocated by the traditional 'medical model'. It is about creating quality of life and seeing our patients as individuals that have needs, wants, aspirations and challenges and live within a complex and often demanding social fabric. My aim is for the Carejunction to bridge the gaps between impair, participation and quality of life whilst ensuring access to the majority through the provision of the most cost effective treatments and innovative approaches to impairment prevention.
Public health is continually evolving and as such healthcare services should continue to be evaluated, updated and improved. I not only aim to achieve this with my teams through continuos operational review and strategic planning but also through continually updating skill sets and equipment to meet the latest healthcare approaches and trends.
